ABOUT THE ARTIST

Liselle Kiss® Heirloom Handbags creates original handbags as recorded works of functional art.

Liselle Kiss is founded on the principle

that a handbag is not a trend

to be captured and released,

but a personal, lifelong artifact.

Each heirloom handbag is a collectible design object, artistically documented from its inception, as the designer avoids the yearly fashion calendar entirely.

She draws inspiration from her muse:

“The Living Sculpture.”

It is her muse who collects and arranges her bouquet of texture and color to ornament her form, as one selects a flower to enjoy and carry for the day.

Liselle Kiss is defined by architecture and the softness of the flower petal.

Artist Discovery

Liselle Kiss was discovered by British Vogue for her First Kiss handbag design, shortly after uploading her design on Pinterest. She later debut her first collections with Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, and Shopbop, marking her formal entry into the luxury market as an American Designer.

The Kiss Curve: A Masterpiece of Engineering

At the heart of every Liselle Kiss creation is the Kiss Curve—a complex structural signature inspired by the combination of Art Deco’s geometric precision and Art Nouveau’s organic fluidity. While traditional luxury often relies on square silhouettes and straight lines, Liselle Kiss utilizes large flower petal motifs to build each bag.

Executing these curves requires a higher level of technical mastery; cutting and shaping leather into precise, architectural arcs is significantly more difficult than standard construction, demanding the highest grade of skins and an exacting eye for structural integrity. This signature geometry ensures that a Liselle Kiss is unmistakable, designed to maintain its structural rhythm for generations.

American Made Luxury Handbags

Liselle Kiss is proud to lead the new era of American Made Luxury Handbags. As an independent designer and artist, she produces a limited body of work each year for her dedicated patrons. Each piece is designed by Liselle Kiss and handcrafted in the USA by skilled artisans with over a century of combined experience, using the finest imported Italian leathers and premium American exotic leathers. The hardware is selected for precision finishing, ensuring that every element meets the rigorous standards of a true heirloom.

Provenance & Authentication

To preserve the soul and story of the object as it passes from patron to heir, every Liselle Kiss Heirloom Handbag includes physical and digital documentation issued without personal identifiers. Authentication is supported by handbag-embedded technology, verified by a simple tap of a mobile phone.

This secure system of provenance is designed to support the long-term interests of collectors, heirs, estate executors, and art advisors.

Sustainable Luxury Restoration & Heirloom Maintenance Services

Liselle Kiss provides luxury restoration and heirloom maintenance services for chain straps, handle hooks, and related hardware components integral to the original design of your functional art piece. Restoration services are available beginning three years from the date of acquisition and are individually assessed and quoted at the time of request. This approach reflects the enduring construction of each Liselle Kiss Heirloom Handbag and supports its long-term preservation, performance, and structural integrity.

A portion of proceeds supports nonprofit organizations such as the A21 Campaign, which rescues and restores survivors of human trafficking—including individuals exploited within fast-fashion supply chains and organized crime networks, where illegal replicas are often produced under forced labor conditions and used to fund criminal operations, according to U.S. Customs.

The Designer’s Story

Born in Baltimore and raised Miami with Trinidadian heritage, I spent most of my youth surrounded by the vibrant colors of Miami’s beaches. A few years after I graduated college, I moved to New York to pursue a singular vision: to become a renowned American designer. It took a decade of refining my craft to become the first Black woman to lead in luxury handbag design as a Parsons graduate—a journey fueled by faith and an obsession with the handbag as an art form.

Today, each piece is an invitation to believe again. It is a dream held in your hands, designed to carry your life forward.”
